NewSeptic Mapping Application

GIS Data Maintained by NewSeptic

NewSeptic has developed a premier, one and only, web mapping solution for the onsite wastewater treatment industry. When you want to quickly bid systems, generate maps, view surrounding natural features like contours, wetlands, 100 year flood plains, existing sewer infrastructure NewSeptic has been built to make all this information readily available at your fingertips.

Our septic system web mapping application presents the following data to the user:

Parcel Data

NewSeptic has approximately 60% of Ohio's parcel data. NewSeptic seeks to update this data as often as local government sources allow possible

Check if we have your County's parcel data

Even if we don't have parcel data for the area of operation, NewSeptic may be able to convert your lot improvement plans and any surveyor's topo maps into NewSeptic parcel data. All you have to do is to email us your map and we can convert it into NewSeptic data.

Parcel Isolation Distances

Septic system maps must show that all components meet specific isolation distances. When a parcel is found in NewSeptic's mapping application, 10 ft. and 50 ft. buffer layers are created to show these common isolation distances.

Contour Lines

NewSeptic has all of Ohio's contour data in 2 ft. intervals. This was generated by using a 2006 Lidar survey from the Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program (OGRIP). NewSeptic is going to soon be revising our data based on OGRIP's 2019 survey.

100 Year Flood Plain

NewSeptic has made available for viewing FEMA 100 Year Flood Plain data. Septic Systems must be installed outside of these areas.

NewSeptic Mapping Tools

Pipe Line Tools

NewSeptic offers specific piping tools to allow you to add components such as Sewer Main, Distribution Main, Laterals, Force Main. These pipe components each have specific properties which when drawn on the map, NewSeptic collects these details.

The details collected allow users to quickly draw components and let NewSeptic label these parts of the map in addition to allowing users to generate a design plan easily.

Elevation Data

Elevation data can be generated by many different methods and each method has its own level of accuracy

NewSeptic uses the process of ascending levels of accuracy. When drawing certain components, our septic mapping software will collect elevation data from Google Maps Elevation Service. Google's Elevation Service queries the latitude and longitude and looks up this on an existing digital elevation model.

Users can then through our elevation reading form enter more accurate level readings or other methods of obtaining elevation data.

Exact Component Measurements

NewSeptic offers the ability to look up or select Septic Tanks, Pretreatment Systems, Dose Tanks, Spray Zones, Sand Pressure Mounds, Replacement Areas. With the click of a button NewSeptic draws these components based on their actual dimensions accurately on the map.

As you add or remove these products, our septic system design software allows you to visualize that on the map and design plan.

Spatial Analysis

Soil Evaluation Tests

NewSeptic helps you manage soil test locations, add missing latitude and longitude data, analyze loading rates, and use the closest soil test results based on the location of your drawn components
